Kayla Algrim is a Colorado native. She has been involved in the theatrical arts since 3rd grade. Kayla is in her 5th year of teaching technical theater at Parker Performing Arts School. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a dual emphasis in film studies and communication. Kayla is currently working on a Master's degree in Arts Leadership and Cultural Management from Colorado State University. She has stage managed and assisted with tech on several shows at both the college and children's level. When she isn't working backstage she can be found playing with her two dogs Lilo and Stitch and spending time with her family. Barb DignanDirector, Cast Supervisor
Barb Dignan is a retired educator, having spent her last fifteen years of teaching at Highlands Ranch High School, where she was the theatre teacher and director. More recently, she has worked with Front Range Theatre Company for five years, directing Spamalot and Shrek. Ty EathertonDirector, Producer
Growing up in Douglas County, Ty’s passion for theatre and education has been fostered with greats art programs, just like FRTC! He is an established educator and director in the Colorado theatre scene. With a degree in Theatre Education from the University of Northern Colorado, Ty joined the FRTC staff in 2017 and has never looked back! Ty has instructed many different educational workshops and camps for students just entering the theatre season to seasoned pros. Ty strives to promote collaboration and creativity, and above all, push students to continually create and explore with the arts. When Ty isn’t directing, producing, or leading a silly warm-up, you can find him exploring the city with friends and family, skiing the slopes, and looking to crack the newest, funniest joke. Jennie has been involved in theater since she was 12 years old. She enjoys being on stage as well as behind the scenes. Some of her favorite onstage performances include: Delightful in Dearly Departed, Etta Baily in Going to See the Elephant, Multiple characters in The Laramie Project and Laura in The Glass Menagerie. Jennie has also directed adaptations of Anne of Green Gables and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. She has spent the past two years writing and staging readings of her first full length script called "The Adventures of the Model T Girls" which is based on the book "Darlene's Silver Streak and the Bradford Model T Girls" by John Butte. She is the mother of three awesome teens and wife to a wonderful husband who also happens to be a Radio DJ and she is the creator and co-host of The Ordinary, Extraordinary Cemetery podcast. She adores her black cat named Salem after her favorite city in the whole world, Salem, Massachusetts. Beth NooneAssistant Publicity Manager
Beth is a rising senior in college at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is studying strategic communications with an emphasis in advertising strategy and a double major in business analytics and media studies. Beth has always loved theatre and is thrilled to be able to incorporate theatre into her chosen major. Beth is ecstatic to be joining the Front Range Theatre team, and can’t wait to have a blast this summer! Erin SolomonMarketing and Publicity Director
Erin Solomon (she/her) is a third-year combined Communication Studies–Theatre major with a minor in Graphic and Information Design at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Erin is the current President of Silver Masque Theatre Company – a university club focused on producing new theatre art for and by students. She recently completed her first co-op as the Assistant to the Executive Director at Central Square Theater and the Operations Assistant at ONCE Somerville. Throughout the pandemic, Erin helped to bring all types of performance art to a digital platform with the ONCE Virtual Venue. She has been involved with all things dance, theatre, and singing since she was young. This summer will be Erin's seventh year working with Front Range Theatre Company and is excited for another jam-packed Triple Threat Season! Kiera SweeneyDirector, Choreographer
Kiera was raised with a strong love and appreciation of the performing arts, starting at a very young age. She first started in dance classes at the age of three, and not soon after began performing in shows. Ever since, Kiera has loved to share her passion for theatre and dance with others; whether that was putting on shows in her basement with her cousins to now working professionally, as a director and choreographer. Kiera is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Theatre Education and a minor in Dance. Kiera is currently the Drama and Speech teacher at Sierra Middle School in Parker. When she is not doing theatre, Kiera is usually spending time with her family and friends or teaching Barre/Pilates fitness classes. She also loves to travel, hike, bake, and play with her two dogs. This summer will be Kiera’s seventh year working with Front Range Theatre Company and she is so thrilled to be back doing what she loves with the people she loves! |
Gregory BellPlaywright and Director Mentor
Gregory Bell has been a volunteer, stage performer and the accountant for Castle Rock Players, Inc./Front Range Theatre Company since 2002. He has been a volunteer for virtually every production, and has performed in almost 20 productions, melodramas, and radio plays, including Andersonville Trial, The King and I, Arsenic and Old Lace, Miracle on 34th Street, and 2 productions of A Christmas Carol. Recently, he performed in “Fancy Nancy – The Art of Being Fancy”. More recently, FRTC produced Gregory’s first offering as a playwright, “We Were Blessed”. So, as a recent first-time playwright himself, he very much appreciated FRTC’s faith and mentoring, and is now more than willing to ‘pay it forward’ by mentoring other first-time playwrights. Gregory lives in Castle Rock with his wife, Bonnie, and five cats, in that order. He is a CPA and has his own bookkeeping and tax business. Most recently, Gregory has also begun voice acting services! He wishes to thank his wife for putting up with him, and supporting his love of history, and theatre. James DykstraTechnical Director
James graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Theater Technology and Design, and went on to complete his MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. Before entering into the field of education, James worked for a variety of theater companies including Denver Center Attractions, Triptych Theater, Inspire Creative and Colorado Thespians. As an educator, James has taught a myriad of courses ranging from technical theater to architectural drafting to photography. Currently he is a full time Photography teacher at Overland High School, and a theater manager at Grandview High School. Drew HarrisStudent Technical Director
Born and raised in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Andrew ‘Drew’ has been involved in technical theater all his life. He has worked with FRTC since he was in elementary school and is grateful to now be able to join the staff in producing new plays and musicals. Apart from technical theater, Drew has also been involved in different acting experiences including getting the opportunity to perform a monologue at the national thespian convention. In his free time, Drew enjoys cooking and drawing and is excited to enroll in culinary school in the upcoming semester. Laurilea McDanielExecutive Director
Laurilea McDaniel is the Executive Director for Front Range Theatre Company and the Visual & Performing Arts Facilitator for Colorado Springs School District 11. This is her 19th year in education and she has taught all levels from kindergarten to college. She holds undergraduate degrees in Theatre, Journalism and Education, and a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction for Secondary Theatre Education from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She is also a Freddie G. Fellow, Class of 2017. She passionately believes in the power of the arts and how transformative they can be. Everyone has a story worthy of being heard. Collin was raised in Highlands Ranch and began playing piano as a teenager. During his freshman year of high school he played keyboard for his first show, Legally Blonde the Musical, and fell in love with process of making music with others. With great support from his family, he began playing shows at the professional level when he met Mitch Samu. Collin studied under him for several years learning the musicianship and leadership necessary to be a director. Now he adores working with camp students and watching them bring shows to life. In his free time Collin enjoys running, rock climbing, and drumming. He studies astrophysics and computer science at the University of Colorado Boulder where he works as a presenter at the Fiske Planetarium. Delaney SweeneyChoreographer
Delaney has spent sixteen out of her years of her nineteen years of life performing. She is trained in many dance styles including ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, tap, and musical theater. She started choreographing middle school shows at Mountain Ridge when she was a freshman in high school. Delaney is currently a freshman at the University of Colorado Boulder where she is majoring in Psychology and planning to minor in Dance. Over the years, Delaney has performed in many FRTC shows and helped with several others. However, this will be her first summer taking on the role as “Choreographer.” In her spare time, she likes to spend time with family and friends, improv dance in her room, and eat chicken nuggets. Delaney loves spending time with kids and could not be more excited and proud to continue her relationship with this amazing company. |
